Litigation Paralegal
Location: Denver, CO
$50,000 - $65,000 Depending on Experience

 

Candidate Responsibilities:

  • Corresponding with clients to obtain information to assist attorneys in prosecuting claims;
  • Preparing, developing, and maintaining all case information and files;
  • Preparing correspondence and managing discovery and pleadings, e-filings, and client contacts;
  • Maintaining litigation and court dockets, including calendaring of deadlines;
  • Preparing and handling exhibits and discovery documents;
  • Assisting attorneys in depositions, witness preparation, and research;
  • Preparing attorneys for court filings and court appearances;
  • Reviewing and preparing material for storage or disposal once a case has closed;
  • Attending trials to assist attorneys during court proceedings;
  • Ordering medical and billing records;
  • Maintaining client expenses.

 

Requirements:

  • Highly proficient with Microsoft Office (particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat (Innova Numbering and Workshare Compare is a plus);
  • Excellent typing and computer skills;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Highly motivated self-starter, quick learner, and willing to take initiative to resolve problems;
  • Ability to work independently and with a team;
  • Professional demeanor and appearance;
  • Proficient in case management software (ProLaw is a plus);
  • Extreme organization and attention to detail;
  • Experience with both State and Federal courts.

 

Qualifications:

  • Paralegal certificate
  • Minimum 10 years litigation experience
  • Bilingual is a plus (Spanish/English)
